  1. Awesome ultra-marathon swimming fuel

    I love this stuff! While perhaps unconventional, I use this as ultra-marathon swimming fuel and it's awesome. I recently used it on a 23km Apolima Strait crossing (swim) and alongside a couple of gels and some coke, it worked perfectly. I find most of the swim specific carb heavy nutrition doesn't sit well with me, but the vanilla mass gainer is so easy on the stomach that it's great. I'm convinced that having the protein alongside carbs on long swims is part of the reason I avoid any soreness. Thanks Protein works & please keep making this! :)

    Ill start off by saying I'm vegetarian and didn't need a vegan protein but more wanted one due to the acne effects of dairy and whey in excess. so onto the experience: Taste - spot on pretty much, very inoffensive and as nice as you'd want from a protein - I would probably drink it for the flavour much like how I drink energy drinks for the flavour. to me it tastes how I imagine a vanilla ready brek to taste. it is also strangely quite strong - I sampled next to my friends MP weight gainer in vanilla and his was tasteless. texture - very good - the best I've had from a vegan shake before. super smooth and mixes easily, well super smooth apart from the milled flaxseed which was expected. id say flaxseed normally has the texture of frozen berry seeds. the shake is not very thick (about the same as a nesquik chocolate shake you make yourself with the powder) and you honestly wouldn't be able to tell that it is vegan. on top of that we have the bloating. honestly no bloating and doesn't fill me up which is great for if you need a few extra good calories and cant eat anymore - especially compared to ON serious mass which i had for a while - that would fill you up for a good 6-7 hours. Overall very impressed and will buy again and would advise any meat eater or veggie to at least try this and see how great it is - may try another flavour yet.
